We believe that before mastering any exotic nuances, one must first learn how to properly brew regular everyday tea. With tea-making being one of the skills we learn as children, still some people can make a tea that tastes good, while others can’t.

Herbal tea

When it comes to brewing herbal tea, there are several options you might use.

  1. 1st option – add 1 teaspoon of herbal tea to your favorite black tea, pour hot water, and infuse for 5 minutes.
  2. 2nd option – infuse the herbal blend and tea in separate pots to avoid over-extraction of the tea leaves. The thing is, the tea brewing time varies from a few seconds to 5 minutes, whereas for the herbs, the longer the better. Once that’s done, mix the infusions together in a mug.

Fruit and berry tea

It is best to pour boiling water over frozen berries and mash them afterwards.

As for dried fruits, it is recommended to infuse them in a thermos over a long period of time, preferably with boiling water as well. Or, if you want to make a drink without waiting a few hours to infuse, try crushing the dried berries before brewing, or buy ready-made Siberian Treasure freeze-dried wild berries.

There are plenty of ways to use lemon (as well as other members of the citrus family): add it to an already brewed drink by squeezing out the juice or putting it in big slices.

The Legend of the Siberian Lingonberry

Siberian Lingonberry health benefits

Many countries know the legend of the Siberian lingonberry.

Dating back to ancient times, it was meant to explain the great nutritional value of this small berry growing in the poor northern soil.

The tale itself follows the adventures of a swallow that carried living water in its beak. The bird’s dream was to sprinkle this magical liquid on people to grant them immortality.

Only trouble was, the swallow got stung by a wasp. As the little bird’s beak opened with pain, the living water spilled out. The life-giving drops ended up landing on three plants – pine, cedar, and lingonberry. Ever since then, these plants have become evergreen and possessed strong healing powers.

While some may call it just a beautiful fairytale, it still contains a certain element of truth. That is, lingonberries really do have an amazing life-giving power, all that due to their rich nutritional value. The studies of lingonberry composition indicate that despite its low-calorie content (only 43 kcal per 100 grams), it serves as a great source of fiber, glucose, vitamins A, B, and C, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and Omega-3 fatty acids. The Siberian lingonberries are also rich in flavonoids and lignans, which scientists believe to be powerful anti-cancer agents. Quercetin is yet another chemical to protect the human body from malignant growths. And lingonberries happen to contain an impressive amount of this beneficial element, second only to blueberries. Last but not least, they are also known for their antimicrobial properties thanks to high benzoic acid content.

All of the above-mentioned features define the Siberian lingonberry’s extraordinary therapeutic powers.

Siberian shilajit applications. The Music of Well-being

Siberian shilajit, or mumijo, is one of nature’s most powerful organic remedies. Mysterious and ritualistic, its creation brings together different elements.

Over thousands of years, Siberian shilajit has been fulfilling its supreme healing mission. Its power is unbelievable! And its composition is real music written by the ancient mountains. Fulvic acids, resins, wax, natural gum, polyphenols, terpenoids, steroids, albumins, along with a variety of minerals, vitamins, and acids…

It’s not chemistry but Music.

Each of these components is a note carrying the sound of streams and winds, the singing of birds, the rumbling of rockslides, and the rustling of leaves and rain. Set in the right order, these notes create a wonderful healing melody that sounds in unison with the planet.

  1. Psycho-emotional application

Siberian shilajit absorbed the restfulness of the world and thoughtfulness of mountain ranges, the blissful state of eternal slumber, and the smooth passage of time. It is this calmness and tranquility that it further conveys to man.

Shilajit treats sleeping disorders, humbles the dark wave of depression, extinguishes the flames of irritability, drowns out the headache impulses. Shilajit revives a person with music and light, which has always been – and always will be – inside of him.

Here is one simple yet effective recipe: take a mixture of 2 grams of shilajit and 200 milliliters of milk for seven days.

mumijo2. Cosmetology

Long and slowly ripening in the stone palms of Altai, the remedy bears youth, life, and beauty. Not only does Altai shilajit help to get rid of psoriasis, acne, furunculosis, seborrhea, but also to rejuvenate the skin.

For revitalization purposes, you can mix powdered shilajit with flour and non-carbonated mineral water. After that, apply the substance evenly on the troubled skin areas. Wait for it to dry for about 15 minutes, then wash the skin and put on a moisturizer. It is advisable to use the method twice a week.

And here is a formula for a skin rejuvenation mask: 14 grams of shilajit plus 1 tablespoon of regular face cream. The mask is to be applied in the evening and left on for about 15 minutes. After that, it should be rinsed off with warm water.

Another significant benefit of shilajit is its ability to improve the structure of hair and stimulate hair growth. The recipe is simple: mix your shampoo with a tablespoon of honey and 2 grams of shilajit. Rub this mixture into the scalp and wash off after about 30 minutes with a regular shampoo.

3. Digestive system

Gastritis, colitis, ulcers – these and other digestive system enemies are, unfortunately, familiar to most of us. To cope with those, Altai shilajit will be your faithful assistant. However, before you start using it, it is important to consult with your doctor. Here is one of the popular recipes: 2 grams of shilajit (powdered) mix with 200 ml of warm boiled water. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach for two weeks. This is a powerful elixir of health that provides tangible effects through invisible efforts.

4. Motor skills

Altai shilajit not only protects the musculoskeletal system of man but also successfully deals with pre-existing conditions. It is known to stop inflammatory processes, fill in small voids in the bone tissues, and contribute to cartilage restoration while helping to cope with joint pain and increasing their mobility.

A long time ago, people have noticed shilajit’s particular effectiveness when paired with honey. Here is one great, centuries-tested formula: mix 100 grams of fresh honey and 1 gram of shilajit. The resulting mass can be used to make a compress and left overnight, until morning. The second component of this formula implies taking 200 milligrams of shilajit on an empty stomach. The course duration is 12 days.

Life is movement. Movement is life.

5. Respiratory system

Usually, people deal with respiratory problems with all kinds of herbal syrups and tinctures. Their power, however, can be greatly enhanced by Siberian shilajit.

When dealing with pneumonia and bronchitis, powdered shilajit can be used to make a 7% solution for inhalations. You can also take 3 grams of the composition and let it dissolve in your mouth, twice a day.

For runny nose, the following formula works just fine: 1 milligram of shilajit plus 10 milligrams of peach oil. 4 drops of the mixture should be used for each nostril 3 times a day until complete recovery (the course duration is not limited).

May your breathing be as light as a breeze over the crowns and peaks of the precious land!

6. Immune system

Immunity is a word we all heard a lot during the twentieth century. For us, the people of the new millennium, it still holds an important meaning. The capacity of our body to successfully withstand the pace of life and harmful factors determines not just our health, but our ability to enjoy life, maintain psychological flexibility, and keep ourselves open to the world around us.

Siberian shilajit can significantly enhance immune system efficiency. For this, for example, you can mix 1 kilogram of flower honey and 10 grams of shilajit. Keep the mixture cold (in the refrigerator) and take 20 grams daily on an empty stomach for three weeks.

Finding your key

Everything in this world requires its own approach and a special key, especially when we talk about something as complex as a human body.  Like any other remedy, of course, shilajit cannot be treated as a universal solution. It certainly has its own contraindications, especially if you have some chronic conditions. Therefore, we recommend checking with your doctor about the methods and volumes for this unique remedy to be applied.

Power of Plants in Every Cup. Siberian Treasure Herbal Tea

The herbal world of Altai is like a book with pages all filled with red, yellow, blue flowers, green leaves and grass creating incredible design. Bees and stars above them do not stop buzzing, birds are singing and the wind is gently rustling the leaves on the trees.

Every plant here is playing its own music and sharing its own legend. When you prepare these herbs for steeping, it seems they suddenly wake up and then you can hear magic of this land and feel its warmth, comfort and incredible fragrance.

They are created by nature itself. These plants do not know greenhouses and plantations, they do not know artificial nutrients. They are nourished by the power of earth – the juices of the planet and the light of the sun. They grow and thrive absorbing nutrients from good healthy soil of this wild land.

The thousand-year memory is ingrained in each of these fragile plants. Altai herbs resisted cold and heat, wind and rain for a good many years. And that is why they have a special power – the power of life which remained strong through many trials; which enhanced and strengthened.

This knowledge, embodied in healthy ingredients, herbs share with people.

How herbs are harvested?

herbal teaGentle hands of Siberian Treasure herbalists gratefully accept this generous gift of Mother Earth, drying, grinding, and creating various combinations. As many centuries ago, herbalists connect and deeply listen to the plants and herbs they gathered and create new compositions and combinations. In the basis of these technologies, honed through many generations, is respect and care for the world.

With each cup of herbal infusion, a man takes in the wisdom of being, which states – trials and tribulations in your life make you stronger and life conquers all.

It is no coincidence that the use of herbs goes back many centuries. And it is no coincidence that this knowledge has always been secret. Only a few initiates could make nature cure sickness, heal the wounds, prolong the life of a ruler, put a sorcerer or a warrior into a trance.

It is critically important to use this power, like any other power, in a conscious and wise manner, being aware of properties this or that mixture may have, how best to store and steep it, which combination will be the most effective for you. It is important to understand the meaning of each plant and its possibilities.

There are general recommendations

Storage: store in a dry, cool and dark place at 25 °C and 75 % relative humidity.

Steeping: 200 – 250 ml of boiling water per one tablespoon, cover and let stand for 20 – 30 minutes without adding sugar, because sugar spoils the taste; honey is not recommended as well, because it loses its useful properties in water hotter than 35 degrees. How much: more than two cups a day is not recommended.

Restrictions:  pregnant women and children under 18 years are better to consult a doctor before drinking.

But there is a vast field for the creative mind!

Everyone should work with herbs individually, looking for their own music among many others, identifying those flavors and aromas that resonate in their heart. And just as ancient priests and herbalists were sorting herbs, making elixirs of life, today we are also seeking our own combinations and formulas.

Try, for example, a mixture of Cypress, sagan, willow herb and rosehip – this bright composition with a mild taste will give you life energy and wake up the brain and body. There are even more refreshing options – herbal teas that contain Sagan Daylya or red root. There are blends of herbal teas that help you lose weight, remove stagnation and toxins from the body and relieve swelling without a laxative effect. There is tea which tones up body, gives a subtle diaphoretic effect, stimulates the gastrointestinal tract and kidneys. There are also restorative tea blends which improve metabolism, provide an energy boost and protection during cold and flu season.

Certain combination of ingredients in a blend can make magic!

Altai herbs steeping is an ancient art, a calm mystery. Look closely and listen, you will see how the leaves and flowers are opening up and transforming in the boiling water, how they are coloring the water, how they are whispering their stories.

Wherever you are, at any time of the year the fragrance of Altai herbs will tell you the story of the distant lands where blue peaks rise above the green ocean of forests, where the streams are crystal and the animals trust people. Whoever reads this book will find new dreams and new power.
